A substantial amount of research has shown that for people to be successful in business and their overall lives, emotional intelligence is more important than intellect (IQ). There is intelligence in emotions and intelligence can be brought to emotions. Measures of intelligence (abstract, verbal and numerical) are thought to remain largely unchanged from early childhood, however the measure of someone’s emotional intelligence – can be improved well into later life.
The subject of awareness is very prominent in the field of personal development and links into to many other areas such as self acceptance, self development, relationships to name a few. The benefits of your awareness to your personal growth are many, however these are often not realised due to a lack of appreciation and understanding.
Trust is something I hear discussed on a number of occasions; I’ve even taken the time to discuss it with myself. Personally, I feel it’s an important aspect of our everyday lives; I see many instances where it isn’t given the time or respect it warrants. So what is trust? What does it mean to you?
