Right and Wrong

What is right and what is wrong? You may well be fully aware of the rights and wrongs of the world from your informal and formal teachings as a young person; teachings from your parents, teachers, family members and peers. I’m sure you’ve experienced on a number of occasions one of your peer group always willing to make you aware of the fact that you’ve done something wrong. In straight forward terms something is either right or wrong, a bit like black or white, the right answer or the wrong answer to a question.

Although goal-setting has been proven to help launch you towards the success you desire many people fail to reach their goals and therefore they become a block to their future success. This is because we tend to set up beliefs based on prior experience. Reaching goals sets up a mental belief that you can reach goals. If you have reached some goals previously then you will have strong, positive beliefs about your ability to do it again. If, on the other hand, you have tried and failed numerous times to reach goals you probably have a very negative view about goal-setting. This view, or belief, will seriously damage any future attempt to reach your desires.

Make peace with your past

Most of us have something in our past that we struggle with: relationships, criticism, tragedies, missed opportunities. When these struggles prevent us from creating a fulfilling future, we become prisoners of our pasts. You can’t mend every issue, or right every wrong, and it’s pointless to regret what never happened, but rest assured, you can definitely make peace with your past! However, to do this you will have to take a good look at where you’re from; this will help you derive some perspective and clarity.

What is your purpose in life?

Do you believe that you have a purpose in life? If not, are you a believer that other people have a purpose? If not, what is it that has given you these beliefs? How important is it to have a clear view on whether you have a purpose or not? However you answer these questions is totally open to your own feelings and how you wish to respond.
