I say, fortunate enough, because I found that when I was coached effectively I became really motivated and focused, and when I finally became a proficient coach, I again found it motivational in that I was able to support and enable my direct reports to achieve more.
“We’re going on a bear hunt”, is the title of a children’s’ story book; one which I have read and re-read on numerous occasions to my two 4 year old twin granddaughters. However, it’s only recently that we’ve actually reached the end of the book, consequently I’ve only just been able to appreciate the moral of the story.

Measures of intelligence (abstract, verbal and numerical) are thought to remain largely unchanged from early childhood, however the measure of someone’s emotional intelligence – can be improved well into later life.
